I Am Stephen Shaw
The 'I Am' Magic Trip In Peru!

Book now for the next spiritual adventure: June 11-22, 2012

The 'I Am' Magic Trip in Peru is possibly the most profound and transformative journey you will ever undertake. Experience awesome shifting of energy and consciousness in one of the most powerful and sacred places on the planet - mystical Cusco, the former capital and holy city of the Inca empire. Safely guided into other worlds, you will see yourself, life and the universe as never before and transition into deeper states of awareness, aliveness and love.

Most of us just get by in life, moving between frustration, disappointment and heartache, with elusive moments of satisfaction and fulfilment. Sometimes we even feel happy or joyful! Deep within, we sense our spiritual questions: Am I doing what I love? Am I with the right partner? How can I find joy, peace and fulfilment? Am I living the way I would like to on this planet? What is the meaning of my life? What am I seeking? Does my life matter? Am I walking my path? Do I have one life or many? What is on the other side? Where is Source?

The Magic Trip in Peru involves spiritual teaching sessions with Stephen Shaw. It also includes mystical and profound journeys with the ancient and sacred teacher plant San Pedro (also known as the Cactus of Vision or the Key To Heaven). All journeys are run in a sacred, secure, gentle and loving environment in the beautiful Temple of the Moon Garden, and facilitated by Stephen and carefully chosen first-rate Peruvian shamans.

Lesley is a Western shaman who has lived in Peru for 15 years, and is fluent in English and Latin American Spanish. She spent many arduous years apprenticing to an outstanding Peruvian shaman, something rarely allowed to Westerners. Lesley has extensive personal experience with the teacher plants and is an excellent guide for the San Pedro journeys.

We will make time for a rare meeting with the mystical Q’ero, the first people of Peru, who live hidden from the world at great altitudes in the Andean mountains. The Q'ero only chose to reveal themselves recently when they descended to bring guidance and prophecies to assist humankind. Shaman Puma will also do energy cleansings and coca leaf readings.

Included in the Magic Trip is a tour through Cusco's sacred archaeological sites of Inca palaces, fortresses and temples and a tour through the Sacred Valley and Ollantaytambo. We then take a train ride along the Inca Trail to visit the Lost City of Machu Picchu! A private local guide will accompany us on the train ride and at mysterious Machu Picchu.

Meals (except the meals described in the itinerary)
All flights, airport taxes, Peruvian taxes. Hotel in Lima (if you need one in Lima)

Flights: You need to fly from your home country to Lima and on to Cusco. LAN or STAR airlines fly between Lima and Cusco. Bear in mind that there are airport taxes for internal flights in Peru (approx ten US dollars) and for international flights from Peru (approx thirty US dollars). International flights to Peru often land late in the evening, so you may need to stay overnight in Lima and fly to Cusco the next day. If you like big cities then spend some time in Lima; however I recommend you fly to beautiful Cusco as soon as possible. The Costa Del Sol Ramada hotel is right at the Lima airport, so it is convenient but expensive. The San Agustin Exclusive hotel is reasonably priced and located in an upmarket area of Lima near the sea; however you will need to take a twenty five minute taxi ride to get there. Shop around on-line or use a travel agent to find the most economical flights and Lima hotels; and make sure you have comprehensive travel insurance!

Remember: All flights, airport and Peruvian taxes, your Lima hotel and Lima taxis are booked and paid for by you. Make sure you arrive in Cusco at least by Day 1 of the itinerary.

Meals and spending
: You will need about $50 per day for lunch, dinner and bottled water. How much spending money you take is up to you. All currency should be in crisp, perfect-condition American dollars (locals will not accept damaged or worn dollars). If you prefer, you can change some of your dollars into the local currency Nuevo Sol when you arrive in Cusco. There are plenty of secure money exchange shops at the central town square. Credit cards are accepted in most hotels and some restaurants; Visa is most popular but Mastercard is often difficult to use. Traveller's cheques are usually only accepted/exchangeable at banks and bureaus. Restaurants and hotels add a 10% service fee, so tips are not usually necessary. You will need cash for most shops and craft markets.

Your San Pedro Journey

San Pedro is an ancient, sacred and magical mescaline cactus. Importantly, it is not a drug, rather it is a natural teacher plant; and it is non-addictive. It has been used for thousands of years by the shamans and healers of Peru as a way to facilitate powerful awakening, insight, learning and healing. Its various names are Cactus of Vision, Huachuma, El Remedio (the remedy) and San Pedro (alluding to Saint Peter holding the keys to heaven).

San Pedro is an entheogen, meaning it assists you to 'meet God within'. This psychoactive teacher plant has been used for thousands of years for healing and transcendence. It is absolutely crucial that it is consumed under the supervision of a shaman or spiritual guide. The importance of set and setting cannot be overstated: this is your personal intention and the environment in which you consume the teacher plant.

Your San Pedro journey takes place during the day in the sacred and safe garden near the Temple of the Moon. You will be fully briefed about San Pedro the day before your journey; and drinking San Pedro is always optional. Your journey will be supervised by caring and very experienced shamans, allowing you to truly let go and have profound experiences.

You will be given you as much space and privacy as you need, and assistance and support are always nearby. No photography or videoing is allowed during the sacred journey.

The San Pedro used in the Magic Trip in Peru is exceptionally powerful as it is cooked by our shamans for 20 hours (4 times longer than usual), and we use specially selected cacti to give profound and deep experiences. San Pedro tastes of earth, water-melon and mild ginger – quite palatable. However, the texture is smooth and lumpy, like drinking raw eggs in a tall glass of fruit juice. The secret is to drink it quickly, taking some slow deep breaths.

Within 45 minutes of drinking San Pedro, you will begin to feel its effects, and your journey will last about 7 to 9 hours. Part of you will feel fully present with normal awareness, while another part of you will have profound psychological, emotional and spiritual experiences. You do not lose control; it is not like being blind drunk!

Your journey will be unique and personal. Everyone has different experiences so have no expectations. The shamans say that the spirit of San Pedro gives you exactly what you need.
